TWO sisters have been branded "barely human" after a judge was shown video film of them racially abusing the owner of a pizza shop.
Judge Richard Lowden likened the behaviour of Rachael and Nicola Anderson to feeding time at a zoo.
Durham Crown Court heard the two women turned up late one evening at the Bridge End pizza shop in Front Street, Chester-le-Street.
"They were clearly drunk," said Andrew Homles, prosecuting. "They demanded pizza and chips and flew into a range when they were told they could have pizza, but there were no chips.

"They were ushered out by other customers, but Rachael ran back to the relica rolex shop and kicked the door, smashing a glass panel."
The court was told both women swore and hurled racial abuse at the takeaway's staff, telling one man: "Go back to your own country."
Rachael Anderson, 20, of York Road, and Nicola Anderson, 24, of King Street, both Birtley, both admitted causing racially aggravated alarm or distress on January 26, this year.
Lawyers for the sisters said they were sorry and ashamed of the way they had behaved.

The judge said: "The behaviour shown on the video is barely human and it reminded me of hysterical bears at feeding time at the zoo.
"No member of the public should be subject to that sort of behaviour."
